Rane TTM-57SL
The TTM 57SL is Rane’s two-channel scratch mixer with a Serato Scratch Live interface built in, shown at Musikmesse in March 2006 and due in shops that April. It grew out of Rane’s TTM 56 mixer and the separate SL 1 interface, so control vinyl and a laptop connect straight to the mixer, with two digital inputs carrying audio back from the computer. Every channel input is phono/line switchable, and the audio path is DSP from the input stage onward. At launch it carried two onboard effects, echo and an LFO filter, plus an external FlexFX loop, and Scratch Live controls included programmable buttons, rotary encoders, two joysticks, EQ kill switches and a front footswitch jack. The catch for a used buyer is software. When Serato DJ took over from Scratch Live in 2014 it added most Rane interfaces, but DJWORX noted that TTM 57SL owners had no choice but to stay on Scratch Live, and Serato’s current hardware list does not include it. The final Scratch Live 2.5.0 lists Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.9 and Windows 7 to 8.1. Rane followed it with the TTM57mkII in 2015. It suits collectors and DJs happy to run it as a plain mixer or with an older computer.

- Plan on Serato Scratch Live 2.5.0 rather than Serato DJ Pro, because Serato DJ never added support for this mixer.
- Check that you have a computer on a system Scratch Live 2.5.0 supports, which means Mac OS X 10.6 to 10.9 or Windows 7 to 8.1.
- Ask the seller for a video of the mixer running Scratch Live with control vinyl on both decks, not just records playing through it.
- Move both channel faders and the crossfader end to end and listen for crackle or dead spots.
- Test each EQ knob and kill switch, both effects and both joysticks with music playing.
- Check every phono and line input, the mic and aux inputs, and the main and booth outputs.
- Confirm the power cable and USB cable are included.
- Ask whether the faders have been replaced or the unit serviced, since it is an older design that Rane replaced with the TTM57mkII in 2015.
Buying guide
OCT 3, 2026Which one to buy · from Oct 3, 2026 listings
37 TTM-57SLs are listed, none for parts, and most ask $400–550 delivered. As a Serato mixer it runs only Scratch Live 2.5.0, not Serato DJ Pro, on a computer with Mac OS X 10.6–10.9 or Windows 7–8.1, so ask for a video of it running Scratch Live with control vinyl on both decks and confirm the power and USB cables are included. The best buy is $385 shipped with a Marathon flight case from a 100% seller, with a Road Ready-cased unit at $420 close behind. Be careful with a title six sellers share, two zero-feedback sellers, and a $1,388 listing from Japan.

Cables and a case
Check what comes with a used TTM-57SL: power cable, USB cable if it has a sound card, and a decksaver or case if it travels. Contact cleaner helps with noisy pots; worn faders are a parts job.
