DJM-S11
Pioneer DJ DJM-S11
The DJM-S11 is the two-channel battle mixer Pioneer DJ announced in October 2020 as the successor to the DJM-S9, and it is still in the current range. The obvious change is a 4.3-inch colour touch screen for browsing, waveforms, Touch FX and Touch MIDI, along with Deck 3/4 control that lets a two-channel mixer play up to four tracks. The Magvel Fader Pro crossfader carries over with a knob mounting axis Pioneer says is 30 percent more rigid vertically, and the eight Performance Pads per side are larger and, per DJ TechTools’ review, now set independently on each side. There are 22 Beat FX (the S9’s 15 plus seven new ones such as Channel Fader Pitch and Helix) and a Smooth Echo feature that triggers an echo when you move a chosen fader or pad. Two USB-B ports take two laptops, and two USB-A ports act as a hub for CDJs or controllers. It runs Serato DJ Pro without a license key and is a hardware unlock for rekordbox Performance mode with DVS. DJ TechTools praised the crossfader but found the rekordbox integration thinner than the Serato side. The DJM-S11-SE special edition borrows styling from the DJM-909.

- Inspect the 4.3-inch touch screen for cracks, dead areas or lag, and ask for a video of browsing and Touch FX.
- Ask for a video of the Magvel Fader Pro crossfader and both channel faders under fast cuts.
- Test all 16 Performance Pads and the Beat FX and software FX buttons on both sides.
- Connect laptops to both USB-B ports and plug a USB device into each USB-A hub port to confirm they all work.
- Check the top panel around the crossfader for wear, even though Pioneer says the S11’s coating is tougher than the S9’s.
- Ask whether the included Serato Pitch ’n Time voucher has already been redeemed, since you should not count on it with a used unit.
- Confirm the firmware is current from Pioneer DJ’s support site and ask whether the fader bumpers and power cord are included.
Buying guide
OCT 3, 2026Which one to buy · from Oct 3, 2026 listings
47 DJM-S11s are listed, none for parts, and most ask $2,250–2,500 delivered, with several sellers at exactly $2,269 shipped. ProAudioStar and Musician's Friend, both big retailers, list it at about $1,800–1,815 shipped, but the titles don't say new or used, so check the condition and return terms before treating either as a bargain. For a used unit, ask for a video of the 4.3-inch touch screen, the crossfader under fast cuts, all 16 pads and both USB-B ports, and ask whether the fader bumpers and power cord are included. Skip a $3,895 ask and be careful with a 98.6% seller at $1,850 using a title four sellers share.

Cables and a case
Check what comes with a used DJM-S11: power cable, USB cable if it has a sound card, and a decksaver or case if it travels. Contact cleaner helps with noisy pots; worn faders are a parts job.
