XDJ-RX2
Pioneer DJ XDJ-RX2
The XDJ-RX2 is a two-channel all-in-one DJ system that went on sale in September 2017, combining two rekordbox-ready decks and a mixer in one chassis so it can play without a laptop. A 7-inch touch screen in the centre shows waveforms from both decks at once and offers Wave Zoom, Needle Search, track filtering and a Qwerty keyboard. Each deck has eight large multicoloured performance pads for hot cues, Beat Loop, Slip Loop and Beat Jump, and the mixer’s EQ and channel-fader curves, Sound Color FX and Beat FX were taken from the DJM-900NXS2. Music plays from two USB ports, or from a laptop over the USB-B port in Link Export mode, and every unit shipped with a rekordbox dj licence key. Connections include two mic inputs, two line/phono inputs and an aux input. It won the 2018 Pro Mobile Award for new playback product. Compared with the XDJ-RX3 that followed in 2021, it has a smaller screen and none of the RX3’s colour jog-wheel displays.

- Typical eBay ask (Oct 3, 2026)
- $2,225–$2,800 used
- Ask for a video of the 7-inch touch screen responding across its whole surface while browsing and typing a search.
- Check both jog wheels, all sixteen performance pads and the play and cue buttons for wear or missed presses.
- Move every channel fader, EQ knob and the crossfader while music plays, listening for crackle or dropouts.
- Confirm both USB ports read a rekordbox-exported drive, and test the USB-B port with a laptop if you will use rekordbox Performance mode.
- Check the mic and line/phono inputs if you plan to use them for events.
- Ask the seller to show the firmware version, and update to the latest from the Pioneer DJ or AlphaTheta support site (version 1.42 was released in November 2021).
- Remember the mixer has two channels, so it will not suit sets that need four decks.
Buying guide
OCT 3, 2026Which one to buy · from Oct 3, 2026 listings
87 XDJ-RX2s are listed, none for parts, and most complete units ask $2,225–2,800 delivered; a tested one at $2,180 shipped from a 99.4% seller undercuts that band. Ask for a video of the 7-inch touch screen responding across its whole surface, all sixteen performance pads, and every fader and EQ with music playing, then update to the latest firmware (1.42 came out in November 2021). Watch the shipping: one listing adds $600, and one unit is stated as AC100V, which is the Japanese 100-volt supply and needs a step-down transformer to run in the US. Treat the generic '1pcs Pioneer XDJ-RX2' titles with suspicion; that wording turns up on copied listings.

Stated as AC100V, a Japanese-market unit that needs a step-down transformer outside Japan, and at $3,008 it's over the band too.

Power, cables and a case
A used XDJ-RX2 often comes without its power supply, USB cable or a case. Check what is included before you buy, and budget for a padded bag if it travels.
