NS7III
Numark NS7III
The NS7III was Numark’s flagship Serato controller, launched in January 2015 and now on Numark’s legacy product list. Its defining feature is a pair of 7-inch motorized direct-drive platters topped with real vinyl discs and felt slipmats, with high and low torque settings, 3600 ticks per revolution and the option to switch the motors off. Three 4.3-inch color screens sit above the controls: two show waveforms and deck status, and the third shows the library or stacked waveforms so the laptop can stay out of the way. The four-channel mixer works without a computer, with phono or line inputs on channels one and two and two mic inputs, and the controller adds 16 velocity-sensitive Akai Professional MPC pads, touch-sensitive knobs, a touch strip and a 24-bit audio interface. It unlocks Serato DJ Pro, and Serato sells DVS as a paid expansion. Digital DJ Tips found the platters uncannily close to playing on Technics, while noting its bulk, loud cooling fans and a small library screen. The NS6II is the lighter, non-motorized alternative.

- Ask for a video of both platters spinning in high and low torque, with Serato’s virtual decks tracking a scratch accurately.
- Listen for grinding or uneven speed from the motors, and check that each platter starts and stops cleanly.
- Confirm all three screens are present and showing waveforms, since the screen array is set up and removed for transport.
- Make sure the vinyl discs, slipmats and platter hardware are included.
- Test all 16 pads, the touch strip and the touch-sensitive knobs for dead spots.
- Run the mixer standalone with a turntable or media player on channels one and two to confirm those inputs.
- Listen to the cooling fans, which reviewers found loud, for rattles or bearing noise.
- Check Numark’s and Serato’s support pages to confirm current Serato DJ Pro and your computer’s operating system still support this legacy controller.
Buying guide
OCT 4, 2026Which one to buy · from Oct 4, 2026 listings
About 61 listings turn up, but most are cases and accessories; only four complete NS7III controllers were for sale, at about $499–799 delivered, so the $675–800 band is a thin read. Shipping runs $74–86 on this bulky controller, so a free-shipping listing can beat a lower asking price. Make sure all three screens, the vinyl discs and slipmats come with it, ask for a video of both platters in high and low torque tracking in Serato, and listen for loud or rattling fans. It's a legacy product, so check Numark's and Serato's support pages that current Serato DJ Pro still supports it on your computer.

Power, cables and a case
A used NS7III often comes without its power supply, USB cable or a case. Check what is included before you buy, and budget for a padded bag if it travels.
