Numark · Numark NS6 series · Introduced 2017, now a legacy model
Numark NS6II
Numark launched the NS6II in September 2017 as the update to the original NS6, and it now sits on Numark’s legacy product list. It is a four-channel Serato DJ Pro controller with 6-inch capacitive jog wheels, each with a 2-inch color display showing BPM, platter position, time remaining, pitch and keylock status, and Digital DJ Tips rated those weighted jogs among the best it had used. The mixer can run without a computer, with two switchable phono or line RCA inputs for turntables or media players, two quarter-inch mic inputs, XLR and RCA master outputs and a booth output. Two USB ports let two laptops connect at once for a smooth changeover between DJs, and MPC-style pads cover hot cues, loops, sampler and slicer. It unlocks Serato DJ Pro, and Serato DVS is a paid expansion for timecode vinyl. Compared with the NS7III it drops the motorized platters and screen array for a much smaller, lighter body, and it steps well above the Mixtrack Platinum FX in inputs, outputs and build.
We haven’t reviewed current listings for the NS6II yet.
Until we do, search eBay for the exact model number and run the checklist above on every listing: ask for a video of it powered up with every control working, and for what has been repaired or replaced.
A used NS6II often comes without its power supply, USB cable or a case. Check what is included before you buy, and budget for a padded bag if it travels.
