Numark Mixstream Pro
Numark launched the Mixstream Pro in October 2021 as a standalone two-deck controller that needs no laptop, and it is still listed alongside the later Mixstream Pro+ and the battery-powered Mixstream Pro Go. It runs Engine DJ OS on a 7-inch multi-gesture touchscreen and plays from two USB ports, an SD card or a Dropbox library. Built-in Wi-Fi streams from Beatport LINK, Beatsource LINK, TIDAL and SoundCloud Go+. Engine DJ’s streaming page lists Apple Music and Amazon Music Unlimited for the Pro+ and Pro Go but not for this model, which is the main practical difference between them. Built-in speakers with their own volume control let you practice without monitors, and balanced XLR and RCA main outputs, a mic input and two headphone jacks cover small gigs. Libraries from iTunes, Serato, rekordbox or Traktor can be brought in through Engine DJ Desktop. Plugged into a computer it also unlocks Serato DJ Lite, with Serato DJ Pro as a paid upgrade. It suits beginners and home DJs who want streaming without a laptop, while the SC6000 Prime is the pro route into the same Engine DJ system.
We haven’t reviewed current listings for the Mixstream Pro yet.
Until we do, search eBay for the exact model number and run the checklist above on every listing: ask for a video of it powered up with every control working, and for what has been repaired or replaced.
A used Mixstream Pro often comes without its power supply, USB cable or a case. Check what is included before you buy, and budget for a padded bag if it travels.
